Q: Does your PA series work with iPhone5?
A: Yes, but you'll have to purchase Apple's lightening to 30-pin adaptor. Please make sure to purchase genuine Apple part and not a 3rd party part.

Q: How does the latest iOS 6.1.2 update affect the functionality of USA SPEC PA series?
A: So far we have not seen any functionality changes in our products.

Q: Do your PA series charge or play iPads and iPad Minis?
A: No, our current PA series are not designed for iPad/iPad Mini. We strongly recommend that consumers DO NOT connect their iPads to our products.

Q: Do your PA series charge the iPhone4s and newer iPods?
A: Yes! All USA SPEC PA series charge either your new or older iPod/iPhones when connected to our kit.

Q: Can I install the kits myself?
A: If you are handy and familiar with car stereos, our kits are relatively simple to install. All connections are plug & play with the exception of PA11-VOL model. However in all the cases you will need to remove the factory radio for installation. Therefore we highly recommend professional installation.

Q: What happens when I receive a call and my iPhone is connected?
A: The sound from the stereo will automatically mute and the phone’s ringtone will be heard from the factory radio speakers. When the call is answered on the iPhone, the system will enter Privacy mode and the iPhone operates as it normally does during a call. No sound will come from the stereo system while the call is in place. Once a call is completed, sound will resume from the factory radio.

Q: Can I still manually control my iPhone/ iPod when the kit is connected?
A: Yes, simply select Direct Mode at any time when your iPhone/iPod is connected and you will have full access and control from the iPhone/iPod directly. When in Direct Mode you can stream music from your favorite internet radios such as Pandora and Livio. This feature is available on all our current PA series. All you have to do is select Direct Mode from the radio (usually DISC 5 or 6 for PA11/12 series, and DISC 8 or 9 for PA15/20 series). The radio button used to access Direct Mode differs from model to model so please consult specific model's owner’s manual for details.

Q: Do I have to disconnect my SAT Tuner, either XM or Sirius?
A: No, for all USA SPEC PA15 and PA20 models you don’t need to disconnect your SAT tuner.

Q: Do I have to disconnect my in-dash CD Changer?
A: No, for all USA SPEC PA15 and PA20 models you do not need to disconnect your in-dash CD changer.

Q: Do your kits work with the new or older iPod Shuffle?
A: Sorry, they do not. USA SPEC ipod interfaces are designed to connect and control iPods with dock connections. You can however connect the Shuffle through its headphone jack to the USA SPEC interface’s RCA port. The RCA port will let you listen to the Shuffle through the car stereo system.

Q: Will the song title be displayed on the radio?
A: Yes, when using USA SPEC PA15 and PA20 models with newer radios that support text display. These radios include most 2006 and newer Acura, GM, Honda, Lexus, and Toyota.
